Porridge Fingers

These porridge fingers are so easy to whip up and my little girl loves them in the morning!

They keep for 3 days in the fridge. Completely customisable too!

I used a small tray, think one you'd bake brownies in!

I make these in the oven as I don't own a microwave, they come out perfectly every time!

Base

200g porridge oats
200ml milk

How to do

Preheat the oven to 180⁰c.

Combine the porridge oats and milk, add in any extras. Using the back of a fork, press down into a tray.

Pop in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until slightly browned on top.

Leave to completely cool, slice and remove from the tray. Pop in a container and keep in the fridge for 3 days max (remember to include the day you made them).

Combinations

I often put a handful of chia seeds, some freeze dried strawberries and a mashed banana. But the possibilities are endless. Grate an apple and some peanut butter, banana and almond butter, maybe a cheeky chocolate chip for older littles.

Play around with fresh fruit, tinned fruit, anything! I often put a puree pouch of prunes if my little one is backed up also!
